All smart balls have integrated sensors that track all parameters, but DribbleUp doesn’t features
any on-board electronics. It only has markings that allow to be tracked by app. Users launch the app and place their smartphone in front of a ball in an included stand. The smartphone camera tracks the ball through a series of training instructions, guided in real time by audio. The instructions fall into three main categories: shooting, juggling and ground work. As the skills progress, the exercises get more demanding. The app give feedback after each instruction, grades and tracks performance.
The ball is made in three different sizes to accommodate different age groups. It is made from textured synthetic leather skin and a butyl rubber bladder. The soccer ball is the subject of successfully funded Kickstarter campaign. To see it in action watch a promo video below.
